Brandon State School was opened in 1888 and is located approximately 7 kilometres north of Ayr, in the Burdekin Shire. Our school motto is 'Bold and Faithful' and our vision is to work together to ensure that each child develops the necessary skills to succeed as future citizens. Our school rules are Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Safe and Be a Learner.
Brandon State School is proud to have children from the second and third generation of families attending our school. Many of the families who make up our community are connected to the cane and crop farming industries and the associated mills and businesses.
Children of all abilities thrive in our multi-age format and will benefit from the diversity of activities that we offer at Brandon State School.
School commences at 8.55am and concludes at 3.00pm.
